I'll have to agree with you in every respect.  While I was getting my 
boat ready to come up the coast to San Francisco, I was tied up at 
Shelter Island, and San Diego Marine Exchange is on Shelter Island 
Drive.  They were great.  The guy were very knowlegeable, had great 
suggestions, and they had everything I needed in stock.  I think I spent 
all of my allowence there.  In fact, when I found I needed a case of 
fuel filters I went there, by then we were on first name basis (Mr.Visa, 
very professional), and they gave me a great discount on the filters. 
They also handed me an application for Vessel Assist, for our trip up 
the caost.  They think of everything.
