[C38] Humongous backstay tension!

Rick: We have never applied more than 1000lbs. I had a friend with a
C&C who sheared the pin at the masthead with his backstay tensioner.
Only the boom saved him from beheading by the recoiling backstay. Does
anyone know the official recommended backstay tension? 2500 is a
whopping force to put on the rigging, nej?
