So as one project grows into another and another and so on I am currently redoing my cabin lights. I have the original round plastic shades that have morphed into a yellowish brown, some have melted and some are cracked. since Im going to rewire the lights I figured I might as well replace the light shades. As you can quess there is nothing on the market available, I like the original lights because of the way they let light radiate 360 degrees versus just pointing a beam downward. So I have found some stock tubing that works well even with its thicker wall section. I got a sample and had my machine shop cut to lenght and add the holes. I am going to either beg for enough free samples to replace all the lights or be forced to buy about 24 feet as a minimum. I have one put together but am still working on the process to easily reassemble the pieces into the more rigid tubing. Will post if anyone is interested.

If anyone else would like to do the same Im willing to make them available with the holes for the cost of the material and shipping. The cost per foot (yields two shades) is $12. If anyone is interested let me know, I can also post a picture of the one I have done so far.
