Max, Thanks I got the link, looks great, I hope to get to the sole floors myself in a year or so. The boat is new to us in Feb. and we are working on fun stuff like thru hulls, mast, rigging etc.

I went to West Marine the other day to buy a bosun chair and found out they pulled all of their bosun's chairs off the shelfs. they told me there was a problem either with the stiching or failure with the D-rings. Either way they will be off the shelf for a long time. The 'Professional", "Soft Seat", and "Pocket" were all pulled and they are trying to get a hold of the people who bought them to return them as soon as possible.
That leaves two chairs left for West Marine to sell, "Top Climber", and "Deckware Mast Pro Harness". I don't need a $430. bosun chair, (Top Climber) so that leaves the Deckware Mast Pro Harness, $175. Does anyone on this listserve own one of these Mast Pro Harness? If so what is their opinion of it?

Ken-- both those chairs are available at www.defender.com for significantly less-- they also have the Plastimo one at considerable savings which I have been using for some time..I have bought a lot of things from Defender over the last four years and have always found them competitively priced and reliable.
I like the plastimo chair as it feels very secure and supportive. Have emailed u details.

I have the Topclimber and would not be without it. Defender has it for
$349, but you still have to buy static line, which cost me about $80.
It is amazing how nice it is to know I can go up the mast anytime. I
went up four times last season to check things and replace fittings.
While it is a bit strenuous the first time as you need to learn the
technique, you can deal with those issues way up there that you know you
should but... I would also note that it is by far the most comfortable
bosun's chair to work out of that I have ever been in.

Hi everybody,

As promised a couple of months ago, I got a photo of my new table and the
interior wood sole installed (new fabric is next!). As you can notice, I
made the table with a "boat" shape for a more contemporary look. A friend
made the gold vinyl design and I varnished over it for a better finish. The
measures are the same as the original table. Wich I didn't have, but got
from Catalina.

Regards,
