[C38] Racing Trim

Steve,
    The best tip for sail trim is to pick up the North Sails book on 
sail trim. It is the best and not expensive. You can get it on their web 
site. One C-38 sail trim tip is to pay particular attention to your main 
sheet traveler setting. As the helm loads up going to weather and the 
boat starts to heel excessively, lower the traveler. Off the wind, while 
you can go DDW wing & wing, it is often faster to reach up a bit.
A good GPS will give you VMG and the trick is to maximize that. On my 
GPS at the helm I have boat speed, VMG, track and bearing to the mark.It
