If I`m not mistaken, mine is 1 3/4". I was planning to buy one of this
dripless packing and measured it. Since this measure is different than the
one on the web, I guess you shoul measure yours carefully. Please let me
know the measure and the dripless model that you bought.

I am going to get rid of my very leaky stuffing box in an effort to have
a dry bilge and install the Tides marine or PSS drip less shaft seals.
Does anyone know the size of the fiberglass tube/shaft log. The Catalina
stuffing box/shaft drawing on the C38 site list it as 1 5/8" OD. That
size does not seem to be available from the dripless shaft seal
manufactures. The  PSS  is on sale at defender for less than $200.
