Thanks Steve.  I am doing a complete renovation of the paint and wood, and I
was not thrilled when the white silicone turned black.  Live an learn I
guess.

Steve, 

 

I use Sikaflex black for topside around anything teak, the white for
chainplates and other areas, I prefer the sidkaflex white over 3M in my
experience it stays whiter longer.

Hello Skippers,

 

This is the bilge rat from the Hassle.  It is now maintenance season, and do
we ever have a list.  Several years ago we used silicone caulking on a few
locations, and that was a big mistake; black smudges everywhere.  What is
the consensus for sealant you guys are using?
