I added the 2" pink stuff to the inside and laid some epoxy over it. It
holds ice for quite a long time now.

I used a blue colored foam product which is designed for building walk
in Refrigerators. It is sold in large sheets or sometimes in small cut
sections.

I don't remember the name of the product, but I believe I posted it
earlier in another forum message. It should be searchable, and I will
check. If I can find the product name, I will send it to you. But
given your field of work, you probably know the suppliers in your area,
so check out the foam products used for walk in refers. On JACE I
didn't want to tear everything out, and the refer was larger than Nancy
and I needed, so I simply lined the inside of the refer with about 1" of
this stuff. It reduced the cycle time of the compressor from about 55%
on time before to about 25% after installing the foam, a 30% savings or
about 20AH/day. The refer is still the largest draw by far, but at
least it is now manageable on the solar panels.
