[C38] Secondarys (Alden)

Steve , I use Anderson 42s for my secondarys (pics attached) .
Personally I never use the primarys, the Anderson 42s work well for the
headsails and spinnakers. When I am by myself it is very easy to use by
your self and when the crew is on board they like the smaller 42s and
say they have more power and grip than the big 52 3 speed lewmars. I put
backing plates on them when I installed them and have been in big wind
for 4 years and have not seen any cracking at all.  If you want you can
run down here to PDX and take a look before you drill.

Im planning on installing secondaries tomorrow, I have lewmar 40s.
Laying it out tonight im concerned that the hole pattern places the
outside holes to close to the edge of the coaming to be able to get a
nut on underneath.  Anyone out there with experience drilling in this
area.  Im looking at putting them above the aft hinges on the two
lockers.  Thanks.

My secondaries are 2 speed Lewmar 30s.  They are more than enough for
the
asymmetrical
