[C38] Insurance

4-5 years ago, Boat US dropped my boat giving the reason it was more 
than 20 years old.  I had to scramble to find insurance and was having 
no luck when my son suggested I try Progressive (he had insurance with 
them).  I had to get a new survey as mine was one month older than they 
would allow (they allowed surveys up to two years old).  Other than 
that, working with them has been painless.  I have had to contact them 
as my cruising the Great Lakes brought me outside my "zone," but it was 
no problem and no additional cost!  I am also happy to report that they 
have not "ratcheted" my rates as is often the case with many insurance 
companies giving you a "lowball" and then jacking it every year.
Don't know if they will do Trans Pac, but it is a US race....
