[C38] Boat Speed

Thought you guys & girls would like to see these.  The overhead shot is of Rascal in the Newport Ensenada in 2003.  The knot meter said 14 knots but we were surfing with quartering swell.
The other picture is of Rascal and Hassle finishing the Ensenada this last April.

    I'll give it a try.  I think the file is large and I do not know how to make it smaller.  

    This was a good photo day in the San Francisco Delta.  The guy taking the photos is in a 30 foot something or other, but he carries a big camera.  The wind was about 15+ knts and were were against the tide at about 7.5 knts, GPS.  Seems our stiff boats will allow us to carry us to carry all the sail longer than most.  Anyway, about a week earlier we went through the same area at 10 knts for about 20 minutes until the perfect sail ended at the next river.  Oh, we had the boat at 14 knts, GPS, several years ago, on the motor, with the sails, coming in throught the Golden Gate, on the flood, what a ride.
