[C38] Catalina 38 Nationals

Larry,
    I have to explain how to hour-glass a genoa. Wed nite race in Oxnard 
- 2 new crew, young, strong and as confident as they were dumb. New 
genoa in sausage bag(which they had never seen) with TACK and CLEW in 
white 3 inch letters on each end. Not having a clue what this meant they 
somehow dragged the clew end to the headstay and hooked it up. We set it 
5 minutes before our start. Our class was sent West to Mandalay Buoy. I 
sailed south toward Platform Gina. "Why are we going south?" they asked 
. "So no one will see us " was my reply. Joe
