[C38] cockpit drains (alden)

How the heck does one even get close to the scupper hoses?  From the 
port side lazarette// seat engine access I have a water heater that will 
have to be removed and then I still don't think I can get my upper body 
through the hole to reach the hose clamps on the drains. I am 5'11" and 
175 pounds. Has anyone ever got to those hoses?
