[C38] nose art for flybye (Alden Andre)

Hi, Alden,
We have JACE in vinyl kids blocks. It looks pretty good, but the vinyl
has been a bit attacked over the years (about 9 I think), and now looks
a bit ragged. Your art is pretty complex, and in vinyl would consist of
a large number of separate pieces that have to be fit closely together.
Each connection attracts dirt, salt, etc, and while waxing helps it
doesn't eliminate the issues. I think you may want to see the local
artists to see who could paint the design on. Check out some of the
local high end racing boats. Designs on the bow receive more "water
abuse" from the ocean, and would probably be subject to more scrubbing,
although I don't know how much that would affect the artwork.

We put ours along the side under the boarding gates. It looks good
there, and is easily visible. With a larger design, and one of such good
appearance having it where it is easily seen is of course paramount.
But the midline of our boats is where any contact with docks and other
boats occurs due to that beautiful and strong reverse tumblehome.

So I think the stern quarter is good as we did ours. One thing you
could do is photoshop the image onto a photo of the boat at different
locations and see what it looks like. This would also let you play with
the scaling to see what looks good where.

Regards,
Les H
