Congrats and welcome,  I have the original alcohol stove and love it.  I really like the thought that if it leaks it evaporates and if it catches fire water will put it out.  On top of all that it is readily available just about everywhere.   BTW I have hull 312.

Jay,
Welcome aboard! You will find the instructions to make a propane
conversion on the C38 website. Look under "Tech-Tips" for much more as
well. Propane requires a different tank setup as well. Most of us hang a
tank over the rail (there are photos of that on the site as well).
When you get a chance, take a look at the Registry and please consider
drafting something up about you, your boat, and your ambitions!
