[C38] Garhauer mainsheet traveler.

Harken track here and we love it, I went with the curved because I liked the original look of the boat. Although we did have to take it to work and tweak it some in a hydraulic press in order to get it to match exactly like the old one. I know straight would have been preferable for trim but figured the extra trimming required is the problem of the mainsheet trimmer and not the captain. Ours is set up for moving the end control cars all the way to the ends for racing when the dodger is off, and then in towards the centerline to match the holes in the dodger when cruising.

We have the Garhauer mst on Discreet Charm. It is a fine piece of hardware, Don

The Garhauer works as smooth as silk. They probably still have the templates that we drew up when they made mine.

Hi Ken,
I had to use the hammer, wd40 and the vise grip in order to get them out. Can't wait to get my hands on a garhauer traveller!
regards,
Max

liguid wrench sprayed in overnight for a few days and then heat to the track, slight tapping and wiggling with vice grips should do the trick.

Here's my problem. The pully wheels on my traveler cars are broken. There are two on each car and are stacked one on top of the other. At the end of the traveler track on each side is a stainless pin through the track stopping the car from going off. On top of the pin and end of the track is a hard rubber cap which I pried off. I cannot remove the pins to get the cars off. I have tried just about everything I know. I am thinking of using heat on the pin then tapping them out with vice grips and a hammer. Any suggestions?
I would send photos but something is wrong with my computer.
Help!!
