Nice! I have yet to put the final name on the boat yet. She's named "Irish Whisper" now and I am looking to change it shortly. Anyhow, hull #183 is a shoal draft and I currently have her docked at the Seaport Inn & Marina in Fairhaven, MA. I believe she's always been a Northeast boat. Can't wait to get her out around Buzzards Bay and the Cape Cod Islands.

  Thanks for the warm welcome.

Congratulations, Alex! You just bought the greatest boat for the money anywhere. By the way, "Rascal" is hull #182 so our boats are sister ships.

  Check this link out: http://www.catalina38.org/

Lots of stuff there including rigging, etc.

And stay tuned to this LIstserve; you'll get lots of help.

  Where are you berthed?

    Hi,

I am proud new owner of a 1982 Catalina 38, hull #183. Still learning and first time rigging the boat. I was wondering if anyone know if there are any Owners Manuals out there for this boat? I am looking for any close-up diagrams or photos for rigging the boom (topping lift?) to the mast. Any photos or diagrams on how the halyards and lines are routed through?

    Any response is much appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Alex
