I just replaced my tank with a metzler that catalina uses in production in florida. It was roughly 400 dollars with shipping(to california) and included a new sending unit, pick up tube and shut off valve. It was also .125 inch thick versus the .090 inch original. It was exactly the same fit as the original since it was fabricated usung the original catalina shop drawings. I was pleased with the ease of dealing with catalina. One phone call and one email to confirm in writing, and that was it.
When I installed the new one, I glassed the wood stringers with west epoxy so it will be easy to remove in the future. I also replaced most of the plumbing since there was a ton of room laying where the tank goes.

On another subject, the SF area Leukemia Cup is October 3rd. I know there are several boats in the Bay. I will be racing non-spin and would love to see more boats on the line. We could have our own Cat38 division if there are 5 more boats.
