Hello Joe, I have a 1982 cat 38. I have clear plastice hatches cabin and John and the solid forward hatch cover. I wanted more light in the forward berth so I bought the crusing concepts smoked plexiglass replacement. I had to add extra dogs on the sides because the curve was not perefect. It was easy to install and despite the fact that it sits up above the deck, about 3/16 of an inch, I like it looks good lots of light. the cost is hight $545.00, hope this helps
