Max, the other consideration is, will it be too tall and have the boom hit it. I don't have mine currently mounted but as I remember the boom just cleared it. In fact if the halyard is a little slack it rubbed the dodger when tacking,

Jace's dodger is 63" and it looks good, and I got the measure from another C38 and it was 68" from the cockpit, so I need to get the right measure, like an average, so it won't end up being too small, or too tall and kill the looks of the boat....

MaxI think ours is to spec., I would make it a little higher our lower I am 6' and the top is right at eye level if standing behind the wheel.
