There's an AC breaker switch on the original C38 fuse panel (over the chart table). Something similar happened to us. Our 30 A power inlet shorted out and we had to replace it. The culprit was a reverse polarity issue at the power pedestal.

This weekend we sailed to Petuluma and stayed for a couple of nights. The last day we lost shore power. Is there a breaker on the Catalina?

We may have overloaded the system with microwave and hair dryer. Or should the breaker go out on the dock? It didn't trip.
