[C38] question for Yanmar owners

I'll have to check my records which are on the boat.  I am turning a 15"
MaxProp, with the pitch set at 12"  The boat had a 2 blade Martec 16x14 and
it was over-pitched for the engine.

For all of you guys with yanmar engines on a C38,  what is the right
transmission ratio our boats???

 

There is a three cylinder yanmar for sale here, a 27 hp that was replaced on
a cat for an outboard engine. Not sure if it is a 3GM30 or a 3YM30, but I'm
checking that out tomorrow, so, that's why I wanted to check if the ratio is
ok for our boats.
