Ouch is right!  have them use a non talc filler and grind the smile down to lead and be generous in the margins, then glass and epoxy, no more smile

Hauled the boat this morning.  While it isn't pretty, they say it's not "that" bad and I should be back on the water in a couple of weeks.  Thanks for the input! Here are some pics:


PS: Bill, I know what you mean, I sailed Lake Erie for 30 years and things started to appear about 15 years ago that were long forgotten...I even scrapped in my slip at Battery Park (Sandusky).
