[C38] Holes in boats

While we're talking about pumps, does anyone have a pump that they really
like?

I used to have a Lovett 1200 that eventually died (had reportedly been on
the boat for many years) and not knowing much about pumps at the time (3
years ago) I allowed the yard to install a Rule.  The Lovett moved more
water, more quickly and only left about an inch in the bilge...the Rule
leaves at least 2 inches.

I switched in part because the yard said Lovett was discontinuing the pump,
but I see they're still offering it on the web site.  I've also heard that
Rule pumps have a design life of a couple of years and, while less
expensive, need to be replaced more often.

Thoughts?
