Larry,

I stopped by Hassel while out in my dingy. Nice paint job. I've been
thinking about joining Shoreline but need to find a job first!

Don, you are also welcome to visit Shoreline Yacht Club in Long Beach CA my
club. We usually have guest slips available at no charge. I chose
Shoreline many years ago after competing in the Catalina 38 Nationals, I was
in Newport Beach CA at the time and found not only were the winds better in
Long Beach the members in Shoreline were some of the most friendly and
gracious folks around. Hence my moving to Long Beach and joining Shoreline.

Best regards,

Larry Malmberg
Team Hassle

Don,
If you come to southern california - check with us. We will clue you in
on where to go and what to avoid. We suggest you plan to spend some time in
Santa Barbara (warning - it is addictive). If you can get down here before
then with out your boat - let me know and you can sail on Macavity. Joe

Ken: Ive been thinking. The tiller-to-wheel convert should be way down your
list (it is huge, expensive, and hard). Your engine works, fix up the
electricity, have the rig checked for integrity, and go sailing. We envy you
the SoCal Islands and being able to sail without getting cold. We have the
SoCal gleam in our eye, Karin wants to sail Catalina, maybe next summer!

Ken said the reliability on both systems, CDI, and traditional cable, is the
same, and CDI is more expensive. Therefore the factory installed
cable/quadrant system is the most flexible (and most available on the after
market).
