[C38] Corrosion

Doing some dinking on the boat today and noticed a mound about ½" tall of corrosion on one of the bolts in the toe rail, Ive not had a corrosion problem until this year, have also noticed it falling below decks onto the shelf in the quarter berth from a few bolts.  Anyone else experienced piles like these? Any suggestions as to solving it and what might be causing it?
