In 2009 when we pulled the mast I replaced the steaming/deck light with

I saw a fixture that goes around the light to protect it but it was
almost the same cost as the expensive light. Anyone know of a
reasonable fixture that protects the deck and steaming light?

I am on my third light. First two were the expensive. Third was a
cheap import that has lasted just as long as the others. The plastic
needs to be flexible to conform to the mast, but that seems to allow it
to become brittle in sun and seas. I think my spinnaker halyards are
the culprit.

We were pounding to weather last year and our deck light was half way

it happened may have been hit by the jib on a tack?

We had noticed that our deck and steaming light as well as the
anchor light were not working. Thought it was a loose wire at the
bottom of the mast as we checked and there was power going up to from
the terminal strip near the holding tank. Closer inspection showed that
the Forespar Deck and Steaming light fixture has taken some kind of
impact and is broken. Anyone have this experience?? I found a new one
fairly cheap but also noted a AAA Masthead fixture really cheap, anyone
have any experience with AAA Masthead fixtures?
