Subject: [C38] Quarterberth water leaks

I have had a persistent leak at the foot of our quarterberth. I trouble
shot it about 8 years ago and decided that it was coming from the
combing compartments in the cockpit. I carefully taped and applied
sealant along the bottom edge of the compartments and drill additional
drain holes in the cockpit seatbacks to drain the compartments. I even
took the wooden bulkhead out of the foot of the quarterberth and placed
plastic sheeting there to divert any water that might get through.
Nothing worked! I have continued to have the leak. This afternoon I
got a helper to spray water everywhere on that side of the cockpit
working the way up from the cockpit floor. It turned out that water
leaks from inside the aft starboard compartment down into the
quarterberth. I plan to clean it out and apply more sealant.

Has anyone discovered a better solution?
