[C38] Goblin Regatta

Steve,
I installed the Seldon 4 inch sprit and over-maxed the distance
beyond the headstay. Down here we do not fly chutes in heavy air. The
sprit was easy to install right up until the moment when we pushed the
sprit out into operating position. That is when we realized it would not
fit between our bow pulpit and headstay. Could not move headstay so bow
pulpit had to go. Redesigned bow pulpit so it would look like the one on
the J-120 across the dock. (I am leaving out the profanity - you can fit
in your own). If you want to fly a code zero (we do not - yet) I
recommend a bob stay.

Very impressed with the Seldon set up. There are two little folding
rings on the deck and an adjustable piston that captures them so moving
the sprit from on deck to outboard position literally takes seconds. I
will email you pix of the set-up. Joe
