[C38] Punch List

[Mark Lewis]

Hello 38' owners.  I took a new job about a year ago and have been absent
the site for about that long.  This is Mark Lewis, Hull #6, originally named
Pokai, I contemplated changing to Bluewater, but elected to keep the old
name as the boat has a long history (article in Sports Illustrated 1980
winner of the Congressional Cup).

 

Here are the things I have yet to fix/finish and would appreciate any
feedback you care to share:

 

1.  Windlass - have anchored twice now without one and it's a lot of work!
What did Catalina offer and/or what do you use?

2.  Hot Water - anyone tried one of those tankless hot water heaters?

3.  Wind meter - brands, odds of finding one used?

4.  Autopilot - same as above

5.  Hull/deck/barrier coat/bottom paint - I've used Interlux Brightside on
the deck but am having trouble getting it to come out looking sprayed
instead of brushed.  Used recommended thinner and best badger brush I could
find.

6.  Suggestions for decals for the sides and back of the boat after I finish
the hull painting
