[C38] Boom Furling

A couple of years ago I spoke to a guy that was using a Pro Furl, and he was telling me that all the boom furling systems tend to destroy the luff tape on the sail. He said that he replaced the one on his mainsail on a yearly basis, but was cruising around the world, so his sails and furling boom system have sustained lots of abuse. That's the only bad thing I've heard about a furling boom.
On the other hand, I'll love to have a furling boom main for the ease of handling while bringing the sail in and out, and especially when reefing. The best part is that you'll be able to use full battens which for me is a most for hour boats, so maximum performance can be achieved with such small mains.
Just my two cents!
