[C38] Keel bolt replacement

Steve,

can't recall exactly where I read this, but I believe our keel bolts are 18
inches long and embedded in the lead when it is poured. Unless one is
broken, unlikely, I wouldn't drop the keel. The Catalina smile you have is
well known and is attributed to the factory using a plywood spacer between
the keel and bilge fiberglass.

There is a procedure to cut it out and regulars it. I'm told it is purely
cosmetic and can occur from the way the yard blocks the keel when setting
on the hard.

Torque to specs (90 or 110), and reglass the seems before bottom painting
is my plan for handling. Don Casey has some good articles on this.
