[C38] Electrical wiring

Hi folks,

I will start re-wiring Image soon and I wanted to get going in the V-berth.
Currently there are two light fixtures in there and I would like to add two
more LED strips. Is it best practice to run wires all the way from the
fixtures in the V-berth to the panel or is it OK to use some means to
distribute power from a place in the V-berth? I assume it is best to run
wires all the way but I did not find convincing information anywhere on the
internet.
