[C38] Electric windless

Steve,

until you do, make my Racer's Windless. Cut 2 20 foot lines from
old sheets or whatever. Tie in a large open hook at one end of each
line. The line should have a closed loop in one plane and then a simple
open hook in the other. Size the thickness of the hook so it slips
easily into a link on the anchor chain.

Bring anchor line to a winch. Crank it in. Soon the chain will come
along. Put the hook on your new line into the anchor chain. Bring the
new line to a winch and crank it in until it is close to the winch.
Cleat off winch number one and take second new line to winch number two.
Release winch number one and crank on two. Soon the anchor will appear.
Take it aboard. Joe

I'm changing out the old Autohelm auto and I also wanted to add an electric windless. Has anyone done or have this installation? Any information would be very helpful and appreciated.
