I asked them to put in a 2000 watt inverter.................I have a 15 year old Heart inverter that is huge and heavy. New one is small and puts out "better" a/c current.

Two of my least favorite chores are adjusting the stuffing box and checking the transmission oil level. Lousy jobs but they are regular maintenance. You might ask your mechanic to show you where and how.

I know. It sounds stupid but I looked at it with a friend and didn't mess with stuffing box because it didn't seem too bad and the metal's 
Oxidized. Our concern = tightening might break shaft.
