2003 Catalina 38 Nationals

Hosted by Del Rey Yacht Club, Marina Del Rey, California

October 18-19, 2003

You are invited to participate in this year's Catalina 38 Nationals.  This is a fun opportunity for Cat38 owners to compete on a level playing field and we are hoping for a record turnout this year.  Both spinnaker and non-spinnaker classes will be welcomed.

Details:

This will be a two day, 5 race series. In addition to the perpetual trophy for the overall winner, take-home trophies will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers for the overall score. Entry fees are $50 per boat, for both days.  Additionally, entrants must be members of the Catalina 38 Association (Annual dues are $20, and includes the Mainsheet).

Please note that in addition to the sails listed in our class rules, participants will be allowed to use Carbon Fiber and/or Kevlar headsails or mainsails.

Also, on October 17th at 7:30 pm there will be an informal C38 association meeting, during which we will discuss and vote on any changes to the class rules or any other association business, including finalization of what sail materials will be class legal.

Please let us know of your interest by contacting David Epstein.  Notices of Race and entry forms will follow.
