Found out I can get a used up old spinnaker for about $350, which is
probably too much to spend on something I'll only fly when there is
no wind, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.
On to something more practical?a dodger.
I've had a look at the drawing in the Tech Tips section. The boat I'm
buying has a nice bimini over the wheel, which I'm told does nothing
to cut spray coming over the rail when slogging to windward. Anyone
have a set up they especially like? Photos?

Joe if I understand you have a setup like a 5 to 1
vang but instead of ending in a cam cleat it goes
forward and back to the cabin top winch. I still have
the original curved track and going to replace the
traveler hardware. I found that once the sail is
trimmed moving the traveler up and down is all it
takes until you go past 90 degrees, but trimming is a
pain. Thanks
Bill

Macavity has a dodger which was designed for a racing boat. It comes off
in 5 minutes with the removal of two screws taking the hoop out of the
attach points. I am racing both days this weekend butwill try to get
some photos soon. Joe Launie, C-38 Commodore, macavity # 365.
