[C38] Fuel tank removal

Legacy, #360 - no door. I cut access holes in my tank and last time I
cleaned the tank and I saw that there is some corrosion in the forward, port
corner. I think a tank repair or replacement isn't too far off for me. To
further complicate things, my inverter and a fuel transfer pump (to the
bladder tank installed under the port dinette seat) are installed in front
of the tank in the way of accessing the tank screws.
Side comment: Surely there must be someone on this list associated with the
government that could help us change the law so that there is mandatory jail
time for a boat builder who installs equipment, screws or tanks and then
builds the rest of the boat around that equipment such that it can't be
accessed without the liberal use of a chain saw! I guess there's a flaw
with that plan - every boat builder would be in jail.
Good to see some activity on the list - Hi Everyone.
Rich

Interesting. 'The Goose' is an 8 and she has no door - how I wish she did.
Maybe it was an optional extra, or were added later by owners. Does it have
any relevance to whether the boat is deep or shoal draught?
Good Luck.
