[C38] Reefing blocks on the boom blew up

Hi everybody,

Yesterday I had a race and got hit by 42knot winds at the final leg. When I
reefed the main one of my reefing blocks that goes at the starboard side
boom was destroyed. The  other one blew up a year ago. I know I should have
replaced this a long time ago, but who knows why I didn't!!
My reefing blocks were Ronstan(discontinued product), and were mounted on a
1" track. I considered this blocks very weak, so,  I'm planning to upgrade
to the 1 1/4" track and blocks from Schaefer because I have´t seen any other
alternative that fits with the same bolt pattern. I was also planning to
call Garhauer to see if they can make something similar.

My question is, are you all using the original blocks or have upgraded the
system?? If so, what are you using??
