On the Catalina 38 website, the following dimensions for rigging wire length
are given:
http://catalina38.org/specs/images/riggine%20wire%20length.pdf
How does one read the dimensions for the stays depicted by the illustration?

OK! I'll admit to having one of those moments.
But, I also have a Catalina Yachts Rigging Wire Length Check List for the
Catalina 38. According to it, the aft lower shroud is 18'0" and the forward
lower is 17'9".
I am a little confused by the drawing about whether these include the
lengths of the eyes and the studs.

The stays on the sides of the mast are also called shrouds. There is an
upper, a mid, and 2 lower shrouds on each side of the mast. One of the
lower shrouds is slightly in front of the mast and the other slightly behind
the mast.

Sorry to barge into a conversation, but we've just had some work done on our
C38 hull and have replaced the standing rigging. Now as we prepare to
restep the mast, can someone tell us whether the shorter lower stays go
forward or aft of the mast?
Many thanks for your advice in advance.

I have a new Garmin 500 series gps and I want to install a shoot
through transducer.
According to the owners manual the hull needs to be solid fiberglass and the
hull can be no
more than 5/8'' thick when using a 500 W transducer or no more than 1''
thick when using a
1kW transducer. My hull is a 1983 year, does anyone know what the hull
thickness is? Also
has anyone installed a shoot through hull transducer? If so what specific
area of the hull
did you glue it down?
