Hi Russ,
Check this out. Estancia 1982 #198 has a 5424 engine, it is suppossed to be
a D-1101, but the number on my dipstick is D-1100. I think that the D-1101
is the M-30 and the D-1100 the 5424. At least, it makes sense! Could some of
you with the M-30 verify this info??
*Universal 5424 Diesel Engine Information*
The Model 5424, a 68 cu in, 24 hp, 3 cylinder, based on the Kubota D-1101
block, was built from 1977 to 1983. Approximately 1,050 were sold. It was
replaced by the Model M-30, which was produced from 1983 to 1987. The Model
M-30 was the same size, but later M-30 engines were based on the Kubota
D-1102 block. It was built from 1983 to 1987. Approximately 400 were sold. The
M 25 was a D-850, the XP a D-950 (from a BB). The M-25XP and the M-25XPB
are different engines. The XP is 56.6 CI/23 HP. The XPB is 61.2
CI/26HP. *Kubota
1 800 374 7522*
*Universal diesels are Kubota tractor engines. *
You just need to know the Kubota model number that is stamped on the
dipstick. The following are Universal Kubota marine/tractor diesel
designations:
M15/5411 Z-500
M18 Z-600
M25 D-850
M25XP D-950
M30 D-1101
