[C38] Garmin 540 to Icom M604

Check the speeds in the books for both systems. The garmin systems can
go quite high, but I think the NMEA standard is 9600 baud high speed and
4800 low speed, but I could be wrong, as its been a while and I don't
have the specs in front of me.
Anyway, serial busses run generally better at 9600 baud for most
equipment. To reach higher speeds over longer wire runs requires real
line drivers, which most systems don't use.
