[C38] Rudder packing challenges

Hi Russ,

When I replaced mine, I did it with 1/4", the 1/2" sound like to much, but  
I tought that different Edson packing gland might have been  used.
I used the packing that came with the boat, and as I recall, it fits ok, but 
water was still coming anyway. You could change with the boat onthe water, 
but you wil have to access from the port locker. Of course you have plenty 
of room now!! There is no need to disasenble the quadrant.
