We used sudsy ammonia to remove the oil on our interior teak before varnishing it.  Sudsy ammonia is available in some grocery stores and works amazingly well, better than some solvents even.  It is fumey so you will want gloves and very good ventilation.  The surprising thing is that it seemed to remove water stains.
