[C38] Prop Question

Greetings and hallucinations to all! On a race last Saturday, after
crossing the finish line, we discovered that our Martek 2 blade folding prop
had come off and is now in Davey Jones' Locker. So it looks like we are in
the market for a new prop. I have been considering a three blade feathering
prop and would appreciate any recommendations out there.

BTW we sailed back from Catalina Island to Long Beach CA and into our slip.
Now I know this is no big accomplishment to some of the old "salts" out
there but it's a first for me.

Best regards,

Larry Malmberg-President

As for checking the oil level, I reach and contort and use my most colorful
sailors' vocabulary ... That is when I actually do check it. As for changing
the oil, I have a petcock valve installed in the oilpan with a tube leading
back to the bilge and another valve there. I open the valve at the pan and
then warm up the engine, then open the valve in the bilge and use a small
12v oil-extracion pump to drain the oil into plastic jugs. Close both valves
and refill the engine... then off to the recycle tub at the marina.

Fair Winds...
