[C38] **VL-JUNK** Prop Question

Hi Larry,

We have a 3-bladed MaxProp on Legacy. It's worked great, been on the boat
since it was new and has never had a problem. I do think my boat motors
slower than other C38's with similar engines but it's probably because it's
so overloaded!

Two years ago, I sent the prop back to the company to have it checked and
serviced. I don't remember the exact number but for one or two hundred
bucks, it came back in less than a week looking brand new.

Rich, Legacy, #360

Subject: **VL-JUNK** [C38] Prop Question

Greetings and hallucinations to all! On a race last Saturday, after
crossing the finish line, we discovered that our Martek 2 blade folding prop
had come off and is now in Davey Jones' Locker. So it looks like we are in
the market for a new prop. I have been considering a three blade feathering
prop and would appreciate any recommendations out there.

BTW we sailed back from Catalina Island to Long Beach CA and into our slip.
Now I know this is no big accomplishment to some of the old "salts" out
there but it's a first for me.
