Charles,

Looks like you'll be having some nice weather for the next few days to come
up the lake (especially if you were a powerboater ;-)); not much wind but at
least there shouldn't be any rain. We are finally launching tomorrow
(Wednesday 5-28), though she won't be ready to go out until she gets a good
scrubbing. Let me know where if and where you may stop when you get to this
end of the lake and maybe we can get together. Have a fun trip.

FYI, I would stop and spend a night at Put-In-Bay if I were you.

Sincerely,
Russ Duff

My windows do not open, but they are a vast improvement on the old stock
ones! I have a complete description along with photos in Tech Tips on our
website.

Another matter. I am currently sailing the Mighty Quinn from Lake Champlain
through the Great Lakes to Duluth, Minnesota. This my first email contact
in 13 days as storms, remote anchoring, etc. have made staying in contact
difficult to say the least! I am currently in Lake Erie after a grueling
day coming through the Welland Canal (high winds). Russ will see me at the
western end of the lake in five days or so!

I expect to be in Duluth around the middle of June and will not be able to
make changes in our website until then (unless there is an emergency). I
hope everyone be patient for my return... when I will make any and all
requested changes!

All the best,

Charles Finn

I replaced a very leaky sliding port in the head and the fixed port on the
starboard side with Lewmar Atlantic opening ports. The ports I chose very
nearly matched the openings in the boat, but I did use my rotozip to enlarge
the openings slightly. They looked like original equipment on Catalinas
five years ago and I am very happy with the installation.

Has anyone replaced the existing cabinside windows with opening ports? If
so, what did you use and how did you do it? The extra air flow would be
nice. Thanks.
