[C38] Dutchman vs. easy jack or lazy jack)

Cliff, I have to disagree with your comment that the EZ Jack exceeds the
Dutchman system. As you know my C-30 has the Dutchman system and my 38
has the Ez jack system. Personally I would have installed the Dutchman
system on the 38 if I didn't have a loose footed main. The Dutchman
system is a far superior system for handling the sail both for dropping
it, and raising it. it flakes the sail perfect every time and it is
better for reefing also. You can also drop the main running down wind
with the boom out with the Dutchman system with no drag witch you cannot
do with the ez or lazy jack system. Cliff are you going to race the 38
Saturday in the Jack gainer med distance race? If not you can join me on
FLYBYE.

Mike and other Cat 38 owners. I believe it was me you talked to in
Oakland
last month. I place quite a few E-Z JAX orders and can tell you their
response correspondence is slow. This time of year they are attending
boat
shows with limited staff. If you want to inquire call Mark Bailey on
his
cell phone: 301-980-8240. The system is exceptional. You won't be
disappointed. Exceeds Lazy-Jacks and Dutchman systems.

Has anyone used this system? (it replaces the LazyJack and or the
Dutchman)
Does anyone know if the company is still in business?

I ordered the EZJAX system for my Catalina 38, Lucky Star by mail as
recommended by their web site with all the info needed and credit card
numbers.
And have had know response or any conformation of my order for three
weeks
know. I tried calling and the young lady says that she doesn't handle
mail
in orders, that someone named Mark does and that he would be calling
me.
Needless to say, I've heard from no one.

The system and the company was recommended by a vender at the boat show
in
Oakland last month.

Hello all,

Replacing our mostly used up main is on the agenda for this season. I've
got a couple of good candidates from the various used sail lofts, but I
thought it might be worthwhile to ask here.

If any of you have a "Good" or better main that's taking up space, and
you'd like to trade it for some cash, I'd be happy to take it off your
hands!
