[C38] Protruding cap nuts on deck

Has anyone tried this?

Those nuts would not only be more esthetic but would also provide lesser
profile to hit with toes.

It would still require a washer as well as drilling a bigger diameter hole
the depth of the nut's length which would be no big deal as long as the
hole's walls are sealed.
