[C38] racing crew number on a C38

We race with 6, on long races 3 up 3 sleeping,  All hands on deck for
spinnaker takedowns or sail changes.   and yes the weight on the rail is
great.

What's the perfect number of crew on a race around the buoys on a C38???
How many is too much? or what's the minimum needed???
what's the usual for good boat performance?
